missing rich fermented foods and I also struggled to find virgin drinks that would both fit my healthy lifestyle and be a compliment to an elegant dinner so when pandemic came I made a kombucha lab out of my kitchen soon got my husband involved into it my small tiny baby kids started drinking it soon my friends neighbors relatives all of them really appreciated the product and we figured out there was a business opportunity there so 2 years after hard work 2022 December we opened the first flagship kombucha bar in the region in Abu Dhabi so yellow kombucha strikes a perfect balance between tart and sweet people can try yellow kombucha in a bar on tap we have a range of products we have cans we also have small bottles and recently we have added luxury sparkling tea bottles which have super high-grade teas so in less than 2 years of operating we have achieved significant milestones in 2023 we won a global kombucha award for our ginger and lemon flavor by 2024 we have secured partnerships with some of the most prestigious hotels in the UAE and our product is now served in some of the best restaurants of the country as well so we believe this is a product that could go really far because it is one of a kind we try to be sustainable we try to partner with local brands we try to source ingredients locally we emphasize recycling we are planning to expand and we believe is working in a brewery but we are now currently setting up a warehouse like a centralized kitchen we want to expand we we want to set up more shops like this in Abu Dhabi in Dubai and the rest of the operation so we had uh 600,000 revenue dirhams this year we are only half year not even full half year we already have reached the same amount of revenue so this year we’re planning to 100% increase the revenue so it’s going to be at least 1.2 million and then double up next year as I mentioned yeah and what’s your gross profit our gross profit is around 75% and you have any net profit right now yes we do have net profit around 20% um could you tell us more about your background what were you doing before this and I’d love to know more about you i’ve worked most of my life in finance and my husband has worked as a project manager most of his time and specifically in IT projects so when we came together like for us let’s say the craft part was our hobby but everything else what is needed to do a business like whether it’s accounting whether it’s how to structure projects whether it’s how to hire people it came from our sort of corporate backgrounds every cousin cousins wife friend sister is making kombucha in our house I just want to understand what’s the difference between them and you and as well as what’s the difference between your next best competitor there is quite a few and frankly people make at home and there’s many people who come and say that it’s not quite as good as yours because it is a craft product it requires full degree of control so we have machines for measuring every single parameter every single acid every single like bacteria that is inside we know exactly what temperature it needs exactly what tea it needs which ingredients in what conditions in what light we have done it very analytically are they patented or patented yes we have trademark okay and your next best competitor in the market who sells professionally we do not compare ourselves to any kombucha there with all respect to competitors maybe we need to go somewhere abroad to find something that would really match what we believe is a good product it’s very artistic right it’s like art how are you going to scale your business retail outlets and building production capacity and you know just use you know establish more partnerships with hotels restaurants cafes are you mainly B2B or B2C our revenue is 50% now B2B 50% B2C so we also have online shop which you know is around 12% of our revenue currently but it was like almost zero 6 months ago you worked in banking and finance how can you justify your valuation of 10 million dirhams look there was several things that we tried to estimate with obviously it’s a starter phase so one of them is a multiple of revenues right in FM it’s usually between three and five obviously it’s not technology company right so we just took full year revenue of the current year so we believe that growth justifies a multiple of around four of revenue so that’s one part second part is we have a recipe we value it at around 2 million then we have SOP just that part of writing SOP 6 months you know half a million easily and then our skill set so we believe at that sorry you’re the boss of the company i am a CEO you’re the co and it’s 50/50 between both of you it’s 50/50 as it it is right now in the license but he’s more on the technology on on the brewing side right i totally agree with you that you guys are very competent qualified founders but I don’t agree with some arts evaluation i also think that you’ve done some great initial progress but potentially for this to really take off we need to really do some collaborations and partnerships with cloud kitchen structures and others for better distribution and things like this which potentially would mean that you need to be flexible towards the ownership you have an offer i’m thinking about it are you open to something a bit far from where you are a bit far how bit you have an offer i’m thinking about it i have an offer okay i will give you 1 million for 25% and I give you a lot of support because this needs a lot of brand awareness a lot of education so you need a lot of media to support for tutoring and become more B2C rather than B2B that is fair points so I’m going to make you an offer as well so I would like to match Ellie’s offer of the 1 million for 25% but I want franchise rights we are in 14 countries i think I’d put you in at least six and if you know about my company we already do a lot with FnB and we have the
